I am by no means a beauty expert and I'm unbelievably unskilled when it comes to makeup. But what I do have to offer if quite a refined list of things that have become my effortless beauty essentials which are perfect for everyday life and the everyday girl.
Over the years I've honed in on quality products that feel amazing on your skin, and actually last. Plus they are all cruelty free (yay).
THE TOP FIVE:
Okay so this one is actually only a relatively recent discovery, but it has quickly become one of my most favourite beauty items. All organic, with a base of coconut oil. This is literally a pot of heaven - glides on under the eyes providing incredible coverage and moisture to such delicate skin. A word of warning... Once you start with this brand - you WILL be addicted. But with good reason, and to your own benefit really. So... You're welcome.
Following on from my discovery on this incredible brand, I was quick to explore the other products in their range. What I adore about this brand, is the versatility of each product. Concealer/all-over coverage, bronzer/eyeshadow/contour, highlighter/eyeshadow, lip/cheek. There are no rules. In fact you are encourage to play, create and mix to find your perfect match. There are two colours in the luminizer range - a rose base (the magic luminizer) and then a champagne color (the living luminizer). Both are equally beautiful and easy to use, creating a similar effect. I personally found the rose base worked better for my skin tone, being slightly warmer (especially when preparing for a Bali tan).
CHARLOTTE TILBURY WONDER GLOW
OR LIGHT WONDER
Light makeup is a tricky game. So I'm listing two products as one, because I kind of couldn't choose. The Wonder Glow is creates a luminous glow that is perfect for when you feel like going mostly make-up free. It also acts as the perfect pre-foundation glow-i-fier. The Light Wonder is slightly heavier coverage, but still an incredibly light formula that is hydrating and illuminating all at once.
Brows. The one thing I rely on to make me look and feel remotely put together. It adds definition to your face, but never makes you look over done (well I'm sure you can go wrong with it... but if you stick to your natural brow shape you should be sweet). My brow pencil is never far from hand. I find this crayon-like option from Hourglass blends better and looks far more natural then my older pencil styles. Also its waxy texture has better staying power.
CHARLOTTE TILBURY MAGIC NIGHT CREAM
Oh Charlotte, you certainly know you're way around beauty. The night cream is so magic, to be honest I use it during the day too. I'm obsessed, and so you should be too. So hydrating, my makeup stays looking fresh and dewy for longer. I admit in the process of writing the post, I discovered there is in fact a magic day cream, so stay tuned for a review on that baby.
